V 39 steering wheel design Exclusively for Mercury

As V 37, this V 39 featured a plastic structure and a molded over soft polyurethane lining; built exclusively for Mercury, this wheel entered Quicksilver accessories catalog.
In this project, too, I cared for both aesthetic and technical aspects, including executive design and assistance to dies manufacturing.

Illustration was used in folder instead of a photograph as molds were still being manufactured at that time.
Mercury
Mercury Marine is one of the most famous outboard motors manufacturer in the world, and it was interesting to design a wheel that Ultraflex was to produce exclusively for them.
Times later, I used one of these wheels to steer a service boat, at my yacht club, and I was satisfied as an user, too.
